(Jerusalem Post) – “Israel has information that Hizbullah guerrillas who captured two Israeli soldiers are trying to transfer them to Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev said. Regev did not disclose the source of his information.

The IDF released the names of the two soldiers on Thursday. According to the IDF Spokesperson, the two reserve are Ehud Goldwasser, 31, from Nahariya, and Eldad Regev, 26, from Kiryat Motzkin. Hizbullah guerrillas, who are backed by Iran, seized the soldiers Wednesday in a cross-border raid.” – (Full News Report)

We are now only a few steps away from an all out war in the middle east. Israel has decided that they are no longer going to take all of the terrorism and threats to be wiped of the map. So, they are taking military action to defend their country; which is clearly justified. Also, if the captured soldiers are moved to Iran don’t be surprised if Israel strikes Iran. I personally believe that Iran is behind all of this (remember… Iran stated that they are going to wipe Israel off the map).

Also, exactly 1 year ago today I stated this blog. I did not plan ahead of time to launch this blog on July 4th; it just happened. Before I started this blog I was not 100% sure what a blog was until the night I started this blog. I can across a blog online on July 4th 2005 and realized quickly what a blog was. Then I thought that it would be cool to start my own. I quickly discovered "Blogger" and sighed up and off the top of my head at that moment came up with the name "Conservative Nation"

And on the evening of July 4th 2005 this blog was born.

Ever since Israel came into existence back in 1948 they have had to endure constant threats by islamofascists to wipe them off the map. This is great news! We are getting closer and closer to proving that Bush did NOT lie about Saddam Hussein having weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. We need to keep a close eye on this story because it looks like the radical left is going to be proven wrong again.

At this time, this is the only news report I could find about this topic. So far the main stream media has failed to report about this. But this does not surprise me because the left has been pushing for a few years now that Bush lied us into the Iraq War. For them to be proven wrong would be a blow to them.

This is a video that I found on YouTube. General Georges Sada, who was a general in Saddam Hussian’s military, appeared on Hannity & Colmes a little while back. He claimed that Saddam did have weapons of mass destruction, and also said that Saddam moved the WMD’s to Syria before we invaded. If it weren’t for Fox News, Mr. Sada would have never been heard because CNN and the rest of the liberal media continue to report that “Bush Lied” about Saddam having WMD’s.

BIG Government is Gouging Us

There has been a lot of outrage lately about high gas prices at the pump. And the Mainstream Media, congress, and president Bush have been trying to convince us that the oil companies are gouging us. I do not believe this is true.

What you’re not hearing in the agenda driven media is that we have not built a new oil refinery in 30 years. We are not allowed to drill for oil within our own boarders; such as, Alaska or the Gulf of Mexico. This is because the kooky environmentalists, with the help of congress, have successfully prevented us from doing so. Also, India and communist China have been demanding a lot more oil because their economies are growing rapidly. I believe that this has caused supply problems.

It’s about time that we ignore these insane environmentalists and we start building new oil refineries, and begin drilling for oil within our own boarders. By doing this we would be able to increase the supply, which will allow the oil companies to reduce their prices.

Also because of ridicules environmental regulations, oil refineries have to produce different gasoline formulations for each state. Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to just have a universal gasoline formulation?

Our government is trying to convince us that the oil companies are gouging us, but they are not telling us how much they are profiting off of gasoline. The oil companies may be making recorded profits, but our government profits even more than the oil companies from gas taxes.

I think it is quite clear that the government is gouging us at the pump.

As a conservative I believe in limited government; therefore, we need to significantly cut taxes in America. The America people should be able to determine how they spend their money, not the government.

Is War Nearing?

This isn’t good news, because Iran is controlled by islamofascists. They believe that they are going to take over the world and either convert us all to their radical belief system or kill us (this is what the Quran teaches them). Of course this will not happen, but since they believe that they will be successful, the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions has to be confronted. The islamofascists will not hesitate to use nuclear weapons in an attempt to accomplish their insane goals.

It is important to remember that the kooky President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has recently threatened to wipe Israel off the map. The use of nuclear weapons would be the only way to do it. So, when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says his country has no ambitions to create nuclear weapons, I firmly believe that he is lying. Therefore, if Israel uses military force against Iran to defend their county, it would be justified.

Socialism Doesn’t Work

Well, it seems like socialism is a complete success in France (sarcasm).

A new law was passed in France that will make it easier for employers to fire employees under 26 without cause. Sounds like a great idea to me; if you do your job you can keep it, but if you screw off you will be fired. But since France has a socialist economy and the people are use to it, the protestors believe that they have a right to be employed and never be fired. France also has socialized health-care, extremely high taxes, a 35-hour workweek as required by law, workers get tons of vacation time, etc. And because of this France’s economy is a complete disaster, because, yes that’s right, socialism does not work.

I guess France and other socialist countries in Europe ignored Winston Churchill when he said, “socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” When Churchill said this, he knew exactly what he was talking about.

I worry about this happening in America. America is slowly becoming more socialist with every tax raise, and every new government entitlement program. Liberal Democrats (I prefer calling them socialists) want you to believe that if you put them in power they will solve all of your problems. They are also pushing to create socialized healthcare just like they have in France. We cannot allow this to happen and we need to remember the fine words of former President Ronald Reagan, “government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.” Reagan was 100% right and his words are still relevant today. Therefore, we need to only elect politicians that will work to shrink the size of government, believe in personal responsibility, and are supporters of capitalism.

Illegal Aliens to Become Felons

This is great news; finally congress is doing something about illegal immigration. Conservatives, such as myself, have been upset for awhile now that President Bush and congress have been ignoring the illegal immigration issue. The bill will establish it to be a felony to be in America illegally, it will impose more penalties on employers that employ these criminals (illegal aliens), and allow for the creation of fences along 1/3 of the U.S.-Mexican border. But for some reason there are thousands of idiots protesting against this bill, they must be liberals. How can it possibly be someones “right” to be in America illegally?

If you’re in America illegally, and you’re caught, you should be convicted of a crime and then deported. If you want to come to America, don’t sneak over the border, but instead how about coming to America legally? It’s not that hard, and I can’t understand why people would protest this bill. Also, if we allow illegal immigrants to cross our boarders freely, without penalty, it would make it easier for terrorists to bring their terror to America. And guess what protesters; the terrorists want to kill you!

Recently, Hillary Clinton, who is a socialist kook, said the following about the bill, “And it is certainly not in keeping with my understanding of the scriptures, because this bill would literally criminalize the Good Samaritan and probably even Jesus himself. We want the outcome to be that they're on the wrong side of the politics, as well as on the wrong side as history and American values.(source)” Sorry Hillary, but you know nothing about the scriptures. And since Hillary has discovered that something called a “Bible” exists, and is trying to preach from it, I wonder if she believes this verse from the Bible, “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. (Leviticus 18:22)” Probably not, since she is in full support of same-sex marriage.

Therefore, let’s hope that the Senate passes this bill, and then President Bush signs it into law.

ABC Investigates Iraqi Intelligence Documents

As we all know, unless you only get your news from CNN, there are tons of Iraqi intelligence documents that were recently released. And according to ABC News they hint of a connection between Saddam’s Government and the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America.

NewsMax.com had the following to say about ABC’s findings, “According to an ABC News translation, an Afghani informant told Saddam's Mukhabarrat intelligence service that Afghani Consul Ahmed Dahastani claimed the following in front of him:

- That OBL and the Taliban are in contact with Iraq and that a group of Taliban and bin Laden group members visited Iraq.
- That the U.S. has proof the Iraqi government and "bin Laden's group" agreed to cooperate to attack targets inside America.
- That in case the Taliban and bin Laden's group turn out to be involved in "these destructive operations," the U.S. may strike Iraq and Afghanistan.
- That the Afghani consul heard about the issue of Iraq's relationship with "bin Laden's group" while he was in Iran.(source)”

This cannot be good news for the anti-war crowd. If we are able to prove that Saddam was involved in the terrorist attacks on 9/11, this would clearly justify our actions to remove Saddam from power.

Also from NewsMax, “Among those who believe that Iraq had a hand in 9/11: Saddam Hussein's replacement, former interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi.

Reacting to a document uncovered by the London Telegraph in Dec. 2003 detailing a link between the Mukhabarrat and lead hijacker Mohamed Atta, Allawi said: "We are uncovering evidence all the time of Saddam's involvement with al-Qaeda."

"This is the most compelling piece of evidence that we have found so far. It shows that not only did Saddam have contacts with al-Qaeda, he had contact with those responsible for the September 11 attacks," he added.(source)”

This story will not be going away, and I hope that we can truly find out the truth. I know that the left-wing would like to see this go away since they believe that Saddam was squeaky clean. But if you just use a little logic, you can come to that conclusion that Saddam was a wicked Dictator that hated America. And it just seems logical that Saddam would want to attack America, acquire WMD’s, and allow terrorist organizations to freely operate within his country.

As always, facts will eventually triumph.

The unhinged President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, recently threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the map. It is also quite clear that Iran is interested in acquiring nuclear weapons. Therefore, Israel has the right to take preemptive action to defend their country. And don’t expect Israel to sit around and wait for the corrupt idiots at the UN to do something about Iran. I wouldn’t be surprised if we wake up one morning and turn on the news to find out that Israel has gone to war against Iran. Also, if this does happen, it’s going to happen soon.

Polling is Being Used as Propaganda

The Mainstream Media has an addiction, which is that they are addicted to inaccurate polls. They report new polling data constantly, and fail to tell us where they got the data from.

A recent example would be a poll that was released by CBS, showing that President Bush’s approval ratings are at an all time low (34%). But of course they fail to tell their viewers where they got these figures from. Well, here are the facts,

According to the Media Research Center, “[What] CBS failed to fairly tell Americans is that the CBS poll relied on responses from far more Democrats than Republicans and that nearly all the questions were crafted to cast the President in a negative light, reported the Media Research Center today in its Media Reality Check.

A posting of poll results listed 409 Democratic respondents versus 272 Republican respondents. CBS then “weighted” the results to effectively count 289 Republicans versus 381 Democrats.(source)”

The Media Research Center also found that, “recent presidential approval-rating polls show a massive gap between Bush’s approval and disapproval ratings of 25 percent (34-59), which is far outside the usual margin. A recent Fox News-Opinion Dynamics poll, however, had a gap of only 3 percent (44 percent approve, 47 percent disapprove).(source)”

Of course once CBS aired this poll, the rest of the liberal media jumped on-board and promoted this inaccurate poll. But if Fox News releases their own poll, which shows Bush with a less damning approval rating, the rest of the media will ignore it (Fox is believed to be pro-Bush). This is an example of liberal bias at its best, and it’s no secret that the MSM is anti-Bush. For example, the media has only reported the negative news about the war in Iraq, and they have ignored all of the good news. The people that run the MSM may want to read of few books on how to be optimistic.

You may also want to note, according to the MRC, “As the blogosphere quickly discovered from CBS's online report, CBS "weighted" its sample to reflect an ideal cross-section of American adults. They adjusted the number of self-described Republicans up to 28 percent and Democrats down to 37 percent, and independents with the rest. That's hardly the exit-poll breakdown the networks found on Election Day 2004 (37 percent GOP, 37 percent Democrat, 26 percent independent).(source)”

What can you conclude from all of this? You can easily conclude that all of these polls that the MSM shows us are pure B.S. Therefore, your best bet is to ignore all of them.

It’s very disturbing that I have to go to non-main stream sources to find information about the Saddam tapes and documents. CNN, NY Times, MSNBC, etc, will most likely not be covering these truths about Saddam Hussein any time soon. But this should not surprise you since the MSM hates President Bush.

Moving forward, I believe it is extremely important to spread the word about these tapes and documents.

Saddam loved to video tape himself while he was talking with the other murderers in his government. And hundreds of hours of these tapes have been found, which were captured during Operation Iraqi Freedom. So far 12 hours of these tapes have been translated, and they are very damning to the Anti-War movement. There are also documents that are just as damning that have been released.

With Saddam on tap talking about attacking America and acquiring WMD's, wouldn't that make him a threat? If you don’t have your head in the sand, your answer should be yes. Just use a little common sense, Saddam was a Dictator and as with all dictators, Saddam wanted power. So, why would Saddam not be interested in having WMD’s? He wanted them, then he used them on his own people, and he wanted more of them. It's not looking too good for the anti-war crowd.

It’s Time to Overturn Roe

This is my favorite quote from the State of the Union Address that President Bush gave on Tuesday (1/31). This is what all freedom loving Americans should want to hear their President say. You will never hear liberals saying stuff like this.

When Bush said, “If there are people inside our country who are talking with al-Qaida, we want to know about it” I agreed with him. My reason for agreeing with Bush is because he was right. Just think about it, if we sit back and do nothing and allow Al-Qaida to freely communicate with people within our boarders, we are putting our security at risk. Which means our chance of being attacked again will be higher—therefore, Bush’s plan to start a terrorist surveillance program to pursue the international communications of possible al-Qaida members is the responsible thing to do, and it is also the right thing to do. But of course liberals will attack Bush’s plan, so your best bet is to simply ignore them.

Iraq's WMD’s Moved to Syria

I have believed for quite a while now that Saddam moved his WMD’s to Syria. If my belief is true and Saddam did move his WMD’s to Syria, that would mean that President Bush did not lie, and all the Bush haters are wrong. Well, there is some goods news to report about this topic. General Georges Sada, who served as the number 2 official in Saddam Hussein’s air force, has written a book entitled “Saddam’s Secrets.” In this book Mr. Sada makes the claim that Saddam moved his WMD's to Syria.

In a recent interview, Mr. Sada tells us that, “Saddam realized, this time, the Americans are coming,” Mr. Sada said. “They handed over the weapons of mass destruction to the Syrians.”

The left will try to claim that Mr. Sada is a liar, but I personally believe that he is telling the truth. I have always believed that the day will come when we will have irrefutable proof that Bush did not lie about Saddam having WMD’s, and all the liberals screaming that “BUSH LIED” will look like morons. And that day is getting closer...

I found what Senator Byrd said yesterday (1/26) to be very interesting. But it is important to note that he is up for re-election this fall.

I believe it is quite clear that Iran is planning to build nuclear weapons. It looks like there will be conflict with Iran in the NEAR (this year) future, and of course we will win.

I have just returned from my fourth trip to Iraq in the past 17 months and can report real progress there. More work needs to be done, of course, but the Iraqi people are in reach of a watershed transformation from the primitive, killing tyranny of Saddam to modern, self-governing, self-securing nationhood--unless the great American military that has given them and us this unexpected opportunity is prematurely withdrawn.

Progress is visible and practical. In the Kurdish North, there is continuing security and growing prosperity. The primarily Shiite South remains largely free of terrorism, receives much more electric power and other public services than it did under Saddam, and is experiencing greater economic activity. The Sunni triangle, geographically defined by Baghdad to the east, Tikrit to the north and Ramadi to the west, is where most of the terrorist enemy attacks occur. And yet here, too, there is progress.

There are many more cars on the streets, satellite television dishes on the roofs, and literally millions more cell phones in Iraqi hands than before. All of that says the Iraqi economy is growing. And Sunni candidates are actively campaigning for seats in the National Assembly. People are working their way toward a functioning society and economy in the midst of a very brutal, inhumane, sustained terrorist war against the civilian population and the Iraqi and American military there to protect it.

It is a war between 27 million and 10,000; 27 million Iraqis who want to live lives of freedom, opportunity and prosperity and roughly 10,000 terrorists who are either Saddam revanchists, Iraqi Islamic extremists or al Qaeda foreign fighters who know their wretched causes will be set back if Iraq becomes free and modern. The terrorists are intent on stopping this by instigating a civil war to produce the chaos that will allow Iraq to replace Afghanistan as the base for their fanatical war-making. We are fighting on the side of the 27 million because the outcome of this war is critically important to the security and freedom of America. If the terrorists win, they will be emboldened to strike us directly again and to further undermine the growing stability and progress in the Middle East, which has long been a major American national and economic security priority..... There is no right to an abortion written into the United States Constitution. I’m not sure if the pro-abortion kooks know this, but the Supreme Courts job it to strictly interpret the U.S. Constitution. And if the Supreme Court does their job, they should acknowledge that the constitution does not currently protect a right to an abortion.

I found this very interesting, so I decided to investigate what Democrats said about Saddam’s WMD’s before we invaded Iraq.

Here are my findings:

During the Clinton Administration,

Confirm Alito!

President Bush has nominated Judge Samuel Alito Jr. to fill the vacant seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Alito is clearly well qualified for the position and is not a stealth nominee. In 1990 he was appointed to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals by George H.W. Bush, and has a long history of being a strict constructionist. President Bush has done a great job with this nomination and I believe that Alito should be confirmed.

But the left has already made it clear that they are going to oppose Mr. Alito, claiming that he is a right-wing extremist. The left will put the pedal to the metal while they launch their baseless attacks against Mr. Alito. But kook liberals fail to understand what the job of the Supreme Court is, which is to strictly interpret law and not to create law.

If Supreme Court Justices start creating law, this would be known has Judicial Activism. For example, Roe v. Wade would be an example of judicial activism. Somehow the Supreme Court managed to find a right to an abortion in the Constitution, which clearly does not exist. And if Alito were to vote to overturn Roe, he would be strictly interrupting the Constitution, which means he would be doing his job.

Let’s hope that Congress does their job and swiftly confirms Alito, because there is no justified reason to not confirm him to the Supreme Court. – Jeremy C.

A New Opportunity

On one of my past editorials I said, “What we need on the Supreme Court are nine strict constructionists that will not create law and will respect existing Constitutional law.”

Since Harriet Miers has withdrawn her nomination, this gives President Bush a new opportunity. Bush now has the opportunity to nominate someone that has a history of being a strict constructionist. Mires was a stealth nominee, which means we knew very little about her. If she was confirmed, she could have turned out to be a great justice, but she also could have turned out to be an activist. We need to prevent activists from being able to become Supreme Court justices.

Let’s hope that President Bush uses this new opportunity he now has. – Jeremy C.

President Bush has nominated Harriet Miers to fill the vacant seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. This nomination has clearly sparked a lot of controversy. Many of the people opposing Mires are conservatives. Their opposition to Miers is a direct result to the fact that she is a stealth nominee. We know very little about her and we are having difficulty finding out details about her. Conservatives such as myself, would like to know how she views the U.S. Constitution, and how she would interpreted it as a justice on the Supreme Court. It is clear; we are rolling the dice with this nomination.

Will Miers be a strict constructionist and interpret the Constitution the way those who wrote it intended it to be interpreted, or will she be an activist and manipulate the constitution to support her own personal policy preferences. For example, Roe v. Wade would be an example of judicial activism. Somehow the Supreme Court managed to find a right to an abortion in the Constitution, which clearly does not exist. And liberals have been hailing this ruling and would like it to never be overturned.

If liberals want a right to an abortion written into the constitution, they need to get their guys elected and add the abortion rights Amendment to the Constitution. But thankfully they are having difficulty winning elections lately.

Getting back to Harriet Miers, it is important—if confirmed—that she turns out to be a strict constructionist and not an activist. Liberals are currently screaming that we need “balance on the court”. So, that would mean that we should have four liberals, four conservatives and a moderate on the court to create a balance. This thinking is absolutely wrong. The use of the words liberal, conservative, and moderate should not be used to label Supreme Court justices. The labels that we should be using are strict constructionist and activist. What we need on the Supreme Court are nine strict constructionists that will not create law and will respect existing Constitutional law.

Liberals would like to see activists appointed to the Supreme Court. They are having difficulty winning within the arena of ideas and are also having difficulty winning elections. Therefore, the only way that liberals can force liberalism on America is to use the courts. Liberals believe that the U.S. Constitution is outdated, and it needs to be manipulated to fit into current times. It is extremely important that activists that will not respect constitutional law not be permitted to serve on the Supreme Court.

There are a lot of issues that could come before the Supreme Court in the near future, such as; abortion, same-sex marriage, religious freedoms, property rights, etc. And Miers could be the deciding vote on these issues. We can never know for sure how a justice will interpret the Constitution until they serve on the court for awhile. But to maximize the chance that the justice will be a strict constructionist is to nominate people that have a history of holding these views. Harriet Miers is a stealth nominee, which means we basically know nothing about her. This fact is very unsettling because we have been let down before by stealth nominees.

It is important to remember that George Bush was re-elected as president, therefore he is the one that gets to nominate Supreme Court justices. I strongly believe that we need to give Miers a fair chance to testify in the confirmation hearings. CN

Kennedy did the best in maintaining his popularity, which never sank below 56 percent, though Dwight Eisenhower came fairly close by staying at 48 percent and above." – Source

“If you watch the mainstream media you may notice that President Bush’s low approval ratings are reported quite often. You may hear, “Bush’s approval ratings are at the lowest of his Presidency”, which is true. But approval ratings below 40 percent are nothing new. For example, Liberal Democrat Jimmy Carter had his approval ratings reach as low as 28 percent. Also, Reagan’s ratings reached as low as 35 percent, and he won two landslide Presidential elections.

The media is reporting Bush’s approval rating in a way that makes it sound as if it is something new to have ratings as low as Bush does. But sorry liberals, there is nothing new about Bush’s low approval ratings. Although, they could certainly go lower in the near future; I doubt they will hit as low as Carter’s 28 percent.

Why are Bush’s ratings currently so low?

Gas prices are clearly one reason, but remember it has been a long time since we have built a new oil refinery; 30 years I believe. And we have done a poor job drilling for oil within our own boarders thanks to the wacko environmentalists with the help of liberal Democrats in Congress. But who gets blamed for high oil prices? Bush gets all the blame, when he clearly is not responsible for high oil prices. Also, the boarder issue and supreme court nominations play a roll in the low ratings.

Another reason is the mainstream media. The mainstream media has done a great job reporting all the bad news from the war in Iraq, and almost completely ignoring the good news. Therefore, when people watch the news, people will get a negative view of the war. Do you ever hear the media take an optimistic pro-victory stance on the war? No you don’t, it's all been pure pessimism.” – Jeremy C.

The Media Research Center has done an extensive study on the mainstream media’s pessimistic take of the war in Iraq.

Here are their findings:

This conclusion is based on a Media Research Center study of broadcast network news coverage of the Iraq war so far this year. MRC analysts reviewed all 1,388 Iraq stories broadcast on ABC’s World News Tonight, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News from January 1 through September 30. (In 2006, the MRC will release a similar analysis of cable news coverage of Iraq.) Among the key findings:

- Network coverage has been overwhelmingly pessimistic. More than half of all stories (848, or 61%) focused on negative topics or presented a pessimistic analysis of the situation, four times as many as featured U.S. or Iraqi achievements or offered an optimistic assessment (just 211 stories, or 15%).

- News about the war has grown increasingly negative. In January and February, about a fifth of all network stories (21%) struck a hopeful note, while just over half presented a negative slant on the situation. By August and September, positive stories had fallen to a measly seven percent and the percentage of bad news stories swelled to 73 percent of all Iraq news, a ten-to-one disparity.

- Terrorist attacks are the centerpiece of TV’s war news. Two out of every five network evening news stories (564) featured car bombings, assassinations, kidnappings or other attacks launched by the terrorists against the Iraqi people or coalition forces, more than any other topic.

- Even coverage of the Iraqi political process has been negative. More stories (124) focused on shortcomings in Iraq’s political process — the danger of bloodshed during the January elections, political infighting among politicians, and fears that the new Iraqi constitution might spur more civil strife — than found optimism in the Iraqi people’s historic march to democracy (92 stories). One-third of those optimistic stories (32) appeared on just two nights — January 30 and 31, just after Iraq’s first successful elections.

- Few stories focused on the heroism or generous actions of American soldiers. Just eight stories were devoted to recounting episodes of heroism or valor by U.S. troops, and another nine stories featured instances when soldiers reached out to help the Iraqi people. In contrast, 79 stories focused on allegations of combat mistakes or outright misconduct on the part of U.S. military personnel.

- It’s not as if there was no “good news” to report. NBC’s cameras found a bullish stock market and a hiring boom in Baghdad’s business district, ABC showcased the coalition’s successful effort to bring peace to a Baghdad thoroughfare once branded “Death Street,” and CBS documented how the one-time battleground of Sadr City is now quiet and citizens are beginning to benefit from improved public services. Stories describing U.S. and Iraqi achievements provided essential context to the discouraging drumbeat of daily news, but were unfortunately just a small sliver of TV’s Iraq news.

And their conclusion:

It is probably predictable that journalists would emphasize bad news, but network TV’s profoundly pessimistic coverage has shortchanged the accomplishments of both the U.S. military and Iraq’s new leaders and has certainly contributed to the public’s growing discontent with the war. Just as it would be wrong for reporters to conceal any bad news, it is wrong for journalists to downplay the good news that is being made in Iraq. Reporters have the responsibility to fully inform citizens about progress that is being made amid great sacrifice, and they are not doing so. - Source

Separation of Church and State, Debunked

Secularists and groups such as the ACLU, claim that the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution calls for the “separation of church and state.” There are a lot of people that believe that these words, separation of church and state, actually appear in the U.S. Constitution. But the phrase “separation of church and state” does not appear anywhere in the U.S. Constitution. Let’s take a look at what the U.S. Constitution does have to say about religion:

The 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The part of the 1st Amendment that addresses religion:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”

Translation: The part of the 1st Amendment that deals with religion, clearly states that the U.S. Congress shall not establish a national religious denomination, and that Congress cannot enforce the legal observation of a national religion by law. For example, if congress passed a law that required all Americans to become Satanists or face execution, this would clearly violate the 1st Amendment.

If a kid brings a bible to school he/she is simply practicing his/her 1st Amendment rights. But secularists want bibles banned from schools. Another example would be a religious display. By having a religious display displayed, the Government is not establishing a national religious denomination, and they are not forcing you to convert to any religion. If you’re offended by religious displays, too bad, there is no right to not be offended in the Constitution.

This morning—10/6/05—President Bush delivered a speech on the war on terror, and it was a very impressive speech. Some parts of the speech were directed at the left who have been fiercely criticizing President Bush.

Iran clearly has the potential of becoming a nuclear power in the near future. They already have nuclear reactors, which they claim they are going to use for peaceful purposes. Iran has direct connections to Al-Qaeda and is one of many countries that harbor the terrorist killers of the world. It is extremely vital that Iran not be allowed to create nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction. They will not hesitate to use them; mutually assured destruction is irrelevant when it comes to Iran.

The kooks on the extreme left defend what they call “Iran’s right to have nuclear weapons”. They claim that Iran has the right to have nuclear weapons because the United States and Israel have them. Their logic is clearly flawed. The United States and Israel do not support the terrorist jihad. Do Americans and Israelis strap bombs onto themselves and walk into public areas and detonate themselves? The answer is clearly no. But Iran does support and harbor suicide bombers and those that hijack planes and use them as missiles.

If Iran is able to create nuclear weapons, they will become an extreme threat to our national security. Just imagine a country such as Iran, which harbors the Islamic extremist terrorists with nuclear weapons in their possession. This would clearly be a massive threat to our national security. The terrorists believe that after they perform their attacks and kill themselves in the process they will go to paradise. Therefore, you can come to the conclusion that the Islamic terrorists do not fear death. Since they do not fear dying, mutually assured destruction will not work.

Mutually assured destruction will work with communists because they are atheists and have no interest in dying, since atheists believe that after you die it’s all over. For example, during the cold war the United States and the Soviets knew that if they took preemptive action and launched nukes, the other side would fire nukes right back. Therefore, both the United States and the Soviet Union would both be destroyed. The concept of mutually assured destruction prevented any use of nuclear weapons during the cold war.

It would be irresponsible to just ignore the threat that Iran imposes on the United States. The reason the U.S. and Israel have nuclear weapons is to defend themselves. Iran on the other hand will use nuclear weapons preemptively. They will either us them themselves or hand them over to Al-Qaeda, and they will use them as part of their terrorist jihad. The Islamic terrorists could careless if we retaliate—and we will—because as I said before they could careless about dying. We must do everything in our power to prevent Iran and other terrorist harboring nations from getting their hands on nuclear weapons.

Roberts Runs Circles Around Frustrated Liberal Democrats

Today--September 13, 2005--was the first day of the questioning of Supreme Court nominee John Roberts. It was interesting to listen to the liberal Democrats question Roberts, especially Ted Kennedy. Kennedy did a good job misquoting what Roberts had written in a memo and he also took what Roberts said out of context in that same memo Roberts wrote. Roberts was able to easily correct Kennedy’s misquoting. But while Roberts was correcting Kennedy, he decided to interrupt Roberts because he was clearly not interested in hearing Roberts answer. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter was then forced to intervene so Roberts could finish correcting Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy was clearly frustrated.

After Kennedy’s questioning of Roberts was complete, he left the room and immediately appeared on CNN giving his analysis of his poor questing of Roberts.

Roberts also did battle with liberal Democrat Joseph Biden. Biden constantly interrupted Roberts will he was trying to answer the questions Biden was asking him. Senator Specter was forced to step in and try to calm Biden so Roberts could answer, but Biden also talked over Specter. Where’s the class Mr. Biden? But it was clear Biden was not interested in hearing what Roberts had to say.

Liberal Democrats were clearly trying to trap Roberts. They wanted him to slip up and say something that they could use against him, and today they failed miserably in that attempt. Kennedy for the most part read off a paper the whole time he was questioning Roberts. Roberts on the other hand came to the hearings with no notes. Roberts--without notes--was able to brilliantly answer all the questions he was asked throughout the day and was also able to easily correct false claims and misquoting by liberal Democrats.

Before the hearings began Democratic Senators were engaged in a fishing expedition for any material that they could find to discredit Robert’s qualification for the Supreme Court. Their search has clearly been a failure because they were not able to bring anything to the table during the hearings at this point to disqualify Roberts. Democratic Senators demanded that thousands of documents on Roberts be released for their reading pleasure. It was quite clear why they were demanding that all the documents on Roberts be released. They searched very carefully thought each document that was released for anything they could used to disqualify Roberts; this was a last-ditch effort by Democratic Senators.

But Roberts is an extremely well qualified candidate for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, which irritates the liberal Senators. Liberal Senators have not been able to find one thing to use against Roberts in the confirmation hearings. Roberts has been able to run circles around frustrated liberal Democrats that have questioned him during the second day of hearings.

Roberts is clearly not an activist and will do his job and literally interpret the Constitution, and he will also not attempt to force his on personal policy preferences on the American people.

It’s no secret that liberals want activists appointed to the Supreme Court. With activists on the court, it is the only way liberals can force liberalism on America, since liberals can’t win in the arena of ideas. But the Supreme Courts job is to interpret the Constitution and not make the laws, but activist judges will try to create their own laws. This is not what the founding fathers intended.

President Bush has done a good job with his nomination of John Roberts for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and he will most likely be confirmed. But get ready, because there is another vacancy on the Supreme Court to be filled and this confirmation process will be very interesting. CN

After Hurricane Katrina slammed into the gulf coast, the left immediately started blaming President Bush for everything that went wrong with the aid effort. The left was furious that there was no food or water getting to those who needed it in New Orleans. We kept seeing the horrifying videos on the media of people dieing in New Orleans and they did not have any food or water.

According to the Bush hating liberals, the fact that there was no aid getting to those who desperately needed it, was a result of the actions of Bush, therefore it was Bush’s fault that there was no food or water being transported into New Orleans. Also some kooky conspiracy theories started to emerge; such as, Bush does not care about black people, and Bush steered the Hurricane into New Orleans to kill black people and destroy refineries to cause the price of gas to increase to benefit Halliburton.

But these claims made by the left can be debunked with truth and logic.

Human Induced Global Warming Caused Katrina?

It didn’t take long for the left to blame Hurricane Katrina on President Bush and human induced global warming. Liberals have decided to turn this unprecedented natural disaster into a partisan political game for their own political gain. But this comes as no surprise because liberals have been blaming everything on Bush for quite a while now.

Is human induced global warming truly the cause of Hurricane Katrina?

This question can be debunked very easily. If you take a look at the number of major (category 3, 4, 5) hurricanes--according to the Saffir-Simpson Category scale--to strike the mainland United States each decade, which can be seen by looking at statistical data provided by the national weather service, it is very clear that there have always been major hurricanes hitting the United States since we have been keeping record. Therefore, long before human induced global warming became an issue major hurricanes have been slamming into the United States.

During the 30’s eight major hurricanes hit the United States and in the 40’s there was a peak and ten major hurricanes hit the United States. Since the 50’s there has be a decrease in the number of major hurricanes to hit the United States. In the 50’s eight major hurricanes hit the United States, which dropped to six in the 60’s, four and the 70’s, and five in the 80’s and 90’s. When it comes to the monster category five hurricane, one hit the United States way back in the 30’s, another in the 60’s, and another in the early 90’s. Katrina ended up making land fall as a category four storm.

But liberal environmentalists want you to believe that major hurricanes hitting the United States is something new, which is caused by human induced global warming and George Bush is doing nothing about it. If Bush would have done something about global warming we could have stopped hurricane Katrina, according to the kook liberals. These kook liberals have blamed Katrina, the flooding, and the chaos in New Orleans all on Bush. Therefore this natural disaster caused by hurricane Katrina is 100 percent Bush's fault. These insane claims by the left are clearly idiotic and not to mention hilarious. Also let’s not forget that back in the 70’s liberal environmentalists claimed that there was global cooling.

They believe that “Bush Lied” about the weapons of mass destruction, Bush stole the election, Bush is a fascist, the economy is going to hell, we stole America from the Native Americans, the Iraq war is a disaster, we are running out of oil, we are destroying the environment, global warming is going wipe mankind out of existence, it’s America's fault that the terrorists are attacking us, and they keep coming up with kook conspiracy theories about why we are in Iraq and Afghanistan. Have liberals said anything positive since Bush was elected in 2000? The answer is no, it’s been all doom and gloom within left-wing America.

Liberals want us to withdrawal from Iraq immediately and screw over the Iraqi people. Liberals claim to be all for civil rights around the world, but they could care less about what happens to the Iraqi people. They are hoping that America loses the war in Iraq, just to get back at Bush. The Iraqi people lived under the Iron Fist of Saddam Hussein for years. But because of the actions of President Bush freedom is emerging in the Middle East and this irritates liberals. Most of all, these kook conspiracy theories about the Iraq war are absolutely ridicules. For example, kook liberals claim it’s a war for oil; if it’s a war for oil, why didn’t we take the oil fields in the first gulf war?

Liberals need to read a non-partisan book on understanding economics. As soon as the economy looks to be going down hill, they immediately find somebody in Government to blame. Liberals need to learn that the American people play a large roll in the direction of the economy, it’s not all Government. Liberals also need to learn that the economy has it ups and it has its downs. It’s impossible to have booming economic conditions year after year. But since a Republican President is in power, if there is good economic news, liberals will find a way to discredit the good news and continue on with their pessimistic view of the U.S. economy.

Kook liberals seem to have no interest in defeating terrorism. If they were in power, they most likely would have hunt down Bin Laden and made a deal with him after 9/11. Negotiation is futile with these barbaric terrorists, they have to be annihilated. These evil terrorists are threatening our freedom, and as we have done throughout history, we must defend our freedom. Liberals get up every morning and take advantage of their freedoms—which are protected by a strong military—and don’t realize that freedom isn’t free; it must be fought for and protected. The founding fathers were well aware that freedom isn’t free and created the 2nd Amendment:

A congressional source told Fox News that Able Danger hearings could come as early as this fall, though neither Specter's office nor Shaffer would confirm a plan for hearings.

Far left groups have tried to blame 9/11 on President Bush, because he did nothing to stop 9/11. They have even gone as far as claiming that “Bush knew” about the attacks that would occur on 9/11 ahead of time, which is absolutely ridicules. To continue the insanity, some extremely far left groups have even tried to claim that Bush was behind 9/11, clearly that claim is BS. Secularists Want Religion to Become Obsolete

There is a movement currently in America to basically make organized religion (mainly Christianity) obsolete, though the use of political correctness. Liberal Secularists are the ones that are behind this movement. The American Civil Liberties Union – I prefer calling them the Anti-Christian Lawyers Union – along with activist judges is leading the anti-Christian/anti-religion front. Liberal Secularists don’t want to follow any right or wrong philosophy; they want to do whatever they want, but an American public that follows traditional moral standards and has faith in God will not allow it. The goal is to remove all traces of Christianity/religion from public view as if God never existed, and after this is accomplished their agenda can become a reality. The Liberal Secularists are very aware that America will never accept socialism, abortion on demand, partial-birth abortion, same-sex marriage, the legalization of drugs, and other progressive ideas as long as the majority of Americans are involved with organized religion, particularly Christianity. The Secularist agenda has been very successful in other parts of the world such as Canada and Europe, and it is becoming more and more successful in America.

The assault on organized religion is very clear; for example, the movement to remove “In God We Trust” from money, remove “Under God” from the pledge, department stores ending the use of “Merry Christmas” and replacing it with “Happy Holidays”, removal of public religious displays, removing religion from schools, the evolution vs. creationism debate, and most of all the removal of the 10 commandments from public view, etc. It wasn’t too long ago when the Bible was regularly used as a textbook in public schools; America was founded on a Judeo-Christian philosophy, but Liberal Secularists want you to believe this isn’t true. Removing all forms of religion from public schools is a great way to indoctrinate young Americans into the secular agenda. Also, part of the hate and rage against President Bush is because he is a Christian and is getting in the way of the secular agenda.

Secularism is destroying America’s traditional moral institution. For example, the pornography explosion, the increasing acceptance of adultery, abortions left and right, the explosion of divorce, more and more people walking around with body modifications, explicit rap music, sex all over main stream television, and the list goes on. All of these immoral things would not have been tolerated by the overwhelming majority of Americans not to long ago, but they now are increasingly becoming more accepted. Without a strict universal moral institution it will be more difficult to defeat terrorism. Everybody can’t just come up with their own moral standards to follow. It is a strict universal moral institution that will cause universal outrage against terrorism, because people will realize terrorism is wrong. Also, without a universal moral institution there will be less universal outrage against other immoral crimes, but this is what those who create evil want.

The liberal secularists use the “separation of church and state” statement to justify their anti-religious action, but these words do not appear anywhere in the Constitution. They are deceiving the American people into believing that the U.S. Constitution calls for the separation of church and state, but it does not. What the Constitution (1st Amendment) does say is “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” This clearly states that the Congress shall not establish a national religious denomination, and that Congress cannot require all Americans to follow some sort of national religious denomination. There is no mention of the separation of church and state in the 1st Amendment; for example, 10 Commandment displays in courthouses do not violate the 1st Amendment. In the meantime the secularist movement will be successful. But in the end the anti-God secularist agenda will be a failure, mark my words. CN

Negotiation Is Futile

What makes the terrorists so dangerous is that they do not care. They are Islamic extremists and think nothing of strapping a bomb onto themselves, and detonating it in the name of Allah. What I’m trying to say is they do not fear death and this clearly makes them extremely dangerous. They believe very strongly in the “jihad” that they are fighting. They believe that anyone that is not part of their belief system is evil, and will not hesitate the kill them while killing themselves in the process. They will continue to fight their jihad “holy war” until they succeed, which will not happen.

The fact that the Islamic terrorists do not care, makes is absolutely impossible to negotiate with them and come to some sort of agreement with them to stop their terror. Any form of diplomatic negotiation is futile because they believe so strongly in the terror that they are causing. These terrorists also go around be-heading Jews and Christians, video tape it for all to see, and this is absolutely barbaric and makes it impossible to negotiate with them; they’re insane. A lot of irresponsible liberals seem to think that if we pull all of our troops out of the Middle East (they were attacking us long before we sent significant numbers of troops to the middle east), downsize our military, be politically correct, and just leave the Islamic extremists alone and let them be, they will just leave us alone. This just isn’t true, they will never leave us alone because they hate freedom, believe America is the “Great Satan”, we are not Islamic extremists, and America has direct connections to Israel (the Islamic terrorists absolutely hate Israel and anything associated with Israel).

The terrorists will never just go away, they must be defeated. Terrorism is an act of war and it needs to be treated as an act of war. The terrorists must be defeated; not negotiated with. As long as the Islamic extremists exist, war is inevitable. No one wants war, but we must not be cowards, we need to be bold and hunt down and defeat the terrorists. The nations that harbor and support the terrorists must also be defeated. Until these evil Islamic extremists are defeated, there will be no peace and they will continue to terrorize, and their attacks will become larger and more extreme (I personally fear a nuclear attack). We need to stop turning the war on terror into a partisan political game and unite into one common cause, which is to defeat the terrorists. CN

Liberal Extremists Blame America First

The extreme left-wing liberals here in America always find a way to blame “Big Bad America” first, whenever something goes wrong. A great example of this would be a terrorist attack. Instead of blaming the “Evil Terrorists” – who are the ones that are clearly responsible – they blame America and our current involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq as the cause. They may even come up with other ridicules reasons, but any intelligent logically thinking person can see how wrong the liberal extremists are.

Terrorism existed long before our involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, remember the first World Trade Center bombing and 9/11? Al Queada recently boomed Egypt and they are not even involved in Iraq. Liberals will then go on to say that terrorism has increased since the U.S. involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq. But, yet again their thinking is wrong. We are currently hunting down the terrorists and defending our country, what do you think they’re going to do, nothing? The terrorists are going to also fight back (they are fighting their “jihad”), and don’t forget that they attacked us first. People that live on the “Blame America First Concept”, are absolutely insane, and most of all they're idiots (there is no better way to say it). An example would be the Bush hating, un-patriotic Iraq War protesters. Liberal extremists need to redirect their hate and rage to the terrorists, and stop worrying about if we are interrogating them to much in g’itmo, the prisoners down there in Guantanamo are terrorists; liberals need to stop defending them.

I have come to the conclusion, that the extreme left-wing liberals are either insane or are just cowards and don’t want to stand up to the terrorists. But, in their eyes I guess George Bush and “Big Bad America” is the enemy, we are the bad guys. Well, if you believe that, leave and move to France or Canada, you will feel at home there. But, in the end most Americans want to kick some ass. We recognize who the “real” enemy is, which is the Islamic fundamentalists. President Bush has nominated “John G. Roberts Jr.” to the U.S. Supreme Court, to replace retiring Sandra Day O'Connor. The liberal smear machine is locked and loaded, and ready to attack Mr. Roberts. The hard left is not going to play fair, if they can’t find anything negative to say about Mr. Roberts (I’m sure they will find many negative things to say); they will just make it up. It did not matter at all who Bush nominated, the hard left liberals will still smear the nominee. I expect that the anti-Roberts liberals will get very extreme with their attacks, to the point where their attacks will be laughable. Let’s just wait and see what the hard left does, should be interesting.

Originalist - fundamentalism in reading the Constitution.

But, most of all, it is very important that Mr. Roberts turns out to be an originalist and NOT an activist. His job is to literally interpret the Constitution, and not attempt to force his on personal policy preferences on the American people. His job is to not make the law, his job it to interpret the law. Judicial activism is becoming a problem in America, and it needs to end. U.S. Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O'Connor announced her resignation on Friday, which gives President Bush his first chance to appoint a new Supreme Court justice. Screw all this talk of conservative versus liberal! The talk should be originalist vs. activist. It’s no secret that liberals want an activist appointed to the Supreme Court. With an activist on the court, it is the only way liberals can force liberalism on America, since they can’t win elections. But, the Supreme Courts job is to interpret the constitution and not make the law, but activist judges will try to create their own laws. This is not what the founding fathers intended.
